House of Gold Living

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

House of Gold Living ("I", "me", "my") is a biophilic interior design business based in Brighton and Hove, UK. I take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what personal information I collect, why I collect it, and the choices you have. It covers everything I do: my website and waitlist, group programmes such as the Healthy Home Reset, consultations, full interior design projects, and any time we meet or speak in person.

Who I am and how to contact me

I am the person responsible for your personal information. You can reach me at [email protected].

What information I collect

If you join a waitlist or contact me, I collect your name and email address, and anything you choose to tell me. If you book a consultation or work with me on a design project, I may also collect your phone number, home address, details about your home and household, room measurements, floor plans, photos and videos of your spaces, your style and budget preferences, project details and correspondence, and payment information. If you join a group programme, I may keep notes of what you share with me and the group. I also use standard website analytics and cookies, which may record things like your device type and the pages you visit.

Meeting in person

When I visit your home or meet you in person, I may take notes, measurements and photographs so that I can do my work for you. I only take photographs with your permission, and I will avoid capturing personal items, documents or people where I can. Please tell me if there is anything you would rather I did not photograph.

Why I use your information

I use your details to add you to waitlists, to book and deliver consultations, programmes and design projects, to prepare proposals, plans and specifications, to source products and coordinate with suppliers and trades on your behalf, to take payment and keep accounts, to email you about my work, to answer your questions, and to run and improve my business and website. I only send you marketing emails if you have asked to receive them.

My legal basis

I rely on your consent when you join a waitlist or ask to hear from me. I rely on the need to carry out a contract, or to take steps before one, when you book or work with me. I rely on my legitimate interests to run my business and website, and on legal obligations such as keeping accounts.

Who I share it with

I do not sell your information. I use trusted service providers to run my business, such as my website, forms and email platform (FEA Create), diary and payment providers. If you are a design client, I may share the details needed with suppliers, tradespeople, contractors and other professionals working on your project, and I will only do so as needed for your project. They process your information only for that purpose. Your information may be processed outside the UK by some providers, who use appropriate safeguards.

Photos and portfolio use

I may like to share photographs of finished projects on my website, social media or in publications. I will always ask for your permission first, and I will not share images that identify you or your home unless you agree. You can withdraw that permission at any time for future use.

How long I keep it

I keep waitlist and marketing details until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them. I keep project files, correspondence and photographs for a reasonable time after a project ends so that I can support you and answer questions, and I keep accounting and financial records for as long as the law requires, usually six years. After that I delete or anonymise them.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how I use it, or object to my using it. You can withdraw your consent at any time. You can unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom, or by emailing me. To use any of your rights, email [email protected]. If you are unhappy with how I handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
